E’ dedicata ad Ermanno Nason, grande maestro vetraio nato a Murano nel 1928, la mostra “Guerriero del vetro” in allestimento fino all’11 gennaio 2011 presso il Museo del Vetro a Murano (VE), dove sono esposte circa 100 opere dell’artista del vetro, un’esigua quantità rispetto alle numerosissime creazioni realizzate nel corso degli anni collaborando con i maggiori artisti del ‘900, tra i quali Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Kokoshka, Hundertwasser e Guttuso.
Ermanno Nason appartiene ad una famiglia di maestri vetrai che tramanda la tradizione della lavorazione artistica del vetro fin dal 17° secolo. E’ grazie alla collaborazione con “La Fucina degli Angeli” a cui i più importanti artisti si rivolgevano a partire dagli anni ’50 per il disegno e la progettazione di opere in vetro che Ermanno Nason diviene definitivamente famoso.
Colpisce, oltre alla bravura tecnica, la versatilità dei soggetti e dei temi delle sue opere che vanno dal classico al moderno, dal pop all’astratto, svelando l’animo di un’artista sempre curioso e desideroso di cimentarsi in nuove sfide.
Glass warrior exhibited at Murano
The exhibition “Guerriero del vetro” at the Museo del Vetro, Murano (VE) until Jan. 11 2011is dedicated to the great glass master Ermanno Nason, born at Murano in 1928. About 100 works are shown in the Museum, a small part of his numerous glass works, realized during his life in cooperation with the greatest artists of the 20th century like Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Kokoshka, Hundertwasser and Guttuso.
Ermanno Nason belongs to a family of glassmakers who have been handing on the tradition of glass working since 17th century. He has definitely become famous thanks to his collaboration with “La Fucina degli Angeli”, to whom the most important artists turned for the design and realization of their works in the ‘50s.
In addition to the excellent know-how of the artist, the versatility of his subjects and themes is astonishing, ranging from classic to modern, from pop to abstract, revealing the nature of an artist who is constantly curious and eager to accept new challenges.

Der ausgestellte Glasskrieger in Murano
Die Ausstellung “Guerriero del vetro” bei dem Museo del Vetro, Murano (VE) bis zum 11. Jan. 2011 ist dem berühmten Glasmeister Ermanno Nason gewidmet, der 1928 in Murano geboren wurde. Im Museum sind ungefähr 100 Werke des Meisters ausgestellt, die nur eine kleine Teile der zahlreichen Produktion darstellt , die er in Zusammenarbeit mit der grössten Künstler des 20. Jahrhunderts u.a. Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Kokoshka, Hundertwasser and Guttuso realisiert hat.
Ermanno Nason gehört einer Familie von Glasmeistern, die seit 17. Jahrhundert die Tradition der Glasbearbeitung überliefert. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit “Fucina degli Angeli”, an die sich die wichtigsten Künstler der fünfziger Jahre für das Design und die Realisierung ihrer Werke wendeten, wurde Ermanno Nason für immer berühmt.
Neben der ausgezeichneten Meistertechnik, überrascht besonders die Vielseitigkeit der Themen seiner Werke, die auf den Klassiker und das Moderne, das Pop und das Abstrakte erstrecken und eine erneuernde Persönlichkeit zeigen, die zu neuen Herausforderungen immer bereit ist.
